Workout 18: 3-Miler

So it doesn't feel that great to start over... It's been about 5 weeks since I last ran. Traveling for work and other things have side-tracked me but I'm happy to say, I'm back and motivated. Since my last post, I've turned 30, had a trip to the Bahamas, San Francisco, Tampa, and Brussels, I've gained back about 6 lbs, and become considerably slower. My last workout was 3 miles at 164 avg HR and 10:15 avg pace... This one was 3 miles at 172 avg HR and 11:09 avg pace. SUCKS! The only thing I can blame besides my lack of activity is the pollen. We were kicking an impressive 174 ppm - and over 120 is considered extremely high. And it's only going to get worse - at least for a while. I'm looking forward to it. Anyway, here's my horrific breakdown:

Looks like I've got some work to do. I'm doing a different training plan now. I'm working toward a fall 50K (31 miles), but we'll see how it goes. I'm incorporating more strength training at this point so we'll see how that works out. It feels good to run again though....
